This is a great game, and it runs very well in AppleWin. Gessler was one of
the best companies in a field of very good companies, and I do wish that
they were still in business.

Manifest ...
Rather than typing in everything, I scanned Jpegs.

The word lists ('nouns' and 'verbs') I then OCRd to make a text file, which
I then used with a flash card program. As I found misspellings or missing
words, I fixed them.

Giant_World_Back_Cover_Blurb.jpg is the short summary on the back of the
game package.

Regarding the music that you are supposed to get with ^S ...
I never heard any music. I don't know if I would have had to pay extra, or
it just doesn't play on my emulator. I never sprung for a sound card for
the actual Apples and Lasers I owned, so I am not surprised to never have.
heard any music.

Time ...
The time in the game, according to the instructions, is 09:00 to 19:00.
However, the "story" in the instructions says "you have to hang in there
until dawn". Okay, then, I am confused.

I made Jpegs of the word lists. Then I OCR'd them to use in a flash card
program, and did find, from time to time, misspellings. (The accent might
be wrong on a vowel, and the game won't accept that word, for instance,
until I change the accent.) Okay, I tried to update the word list. If you
find an inconsistency, that is probably the reason.

Also, there are some words in the game that aren't in the word list.
"Molehill" is in there, for instance. But I think all the words that you
might need to enter are in here, after all, that only makes sense
programmatically.

Don't forget to "embrasse la grenoulle"!

The program was copyright 1987. I submit this in 2009.
